Nar Phu Trek is one of the classic and most preferred treks of Nepal. The valley is considered as a hidden gem for trekkers and tourists rich with rural Nepalese and Tibetan culture.
Overview
About the trek:
Safely tucked between Annapurna and Manaslu region, the final destination, Nar Phu valley is one of the highlights of the whole journey. The journey begins from Besisahar and ends when trekkers return to Pokhara.
As the trekkers will visit a remote region of mid-western region of Nepal, the landscape and culture found around the destination is more inclined towards Tibet.
Major attractions of the trek are the crossing of Kang La Pass(530g m) and Thorong La Pass(5418 m) and of course, let’s not forget the untouched scenic beauty of the mountains and hills around the trekking zone.
The trek is rather long and strenuous, and the journey might even get pretty tough for most seasoned trekkers. As it includes reaching high altitudes and long continuous treks trekkers should be highly cautious.
Best Time for the trek:
The best time to go on this trek is generally from March to July. However, excluding the winter season, all other seasons are favorable for the trek. As the region is mostly ragged desert there is not much effect of rain even around the rainy season.
