Overview

Everest Three high pass trek is not just a fascinating expedition but also an attractive trek. Everest high pass is one of the outstanding as well as a demanding trekking path in the Khumbu area which takes you to the most wonderful trekking passes of Kongma La (5,535m) Cho La (5,400m) Renjo La(5,300m). These passes are blessed with close views of Cho Oyu (8,516m), Everest (8,848m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516m) and many other neighboring peaks.

Everest three high pass trek provides the finest blend of danger and beauty found in trekking paths of Everest  Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo valley (the frozen lake). Similarly, the scenes offered by the rural valleys of Mangpa La, Marlung, Thame valley are simply breathtaking. Putting the natural aspect aside, the trek also takes you along a gorgeous Sherpa community where you will discover the land of archival local Sherpa people. 

Everest three high pass trek begins from Lukla with a picturesque Himalayas flight from the capital, Kathmandu. September-November and March-May are said to be the best time for the trek. As the trekking season lies in spring the forest along the paths richly blossoms with Rhododendron.

Everest high pass trek will lead you to the three of the routes along Everest area, Kongma La(5,535m) Chola (5,420m) and Renjo la (5340m). In the company of three passes, Kongma la is appraised as most demanding of all and Renjo la as unchallenging. However, Cho la is considered to be the finest.

Itinerary

Our representative will pick you up right after you land at Kathmandu. We will directly transfer you to our hotel where you can rest for the day. We would recommend you to roam around the streets of Kathmandu in the evening.

Early the next day, you will be picked for your flight to Lukla. You will be able to witness the majestic Everest during the flight among other peaks. After you land, you will be greeted by the Sherpas and we will start our trek right away. After a 4 hour trek you will arrive at Phakding. Continuing through the cedar woods and pine forest we will reach the first camp of Phakding where we will spend the night.

After breakfast ,we will begin our trek to Namche Bazar. We will be greeted by close-up views of Ama-dablam, Phortse peak, Thamserku, Kusungkangru, Kantega as well Lotshe and Mt. Everest. Finally you will reach Namche Bazar and stay overnight at the lodge.

The Namche Bazar is surrounded on 3 sides by mountain ranges. It is the central hub of this village where we can buy mountain climbing equipment, food and sundries. We will spend the night here to adapt our bodies to the high altitude.

Trekking through Chortens Stupas, Rhododendron Forest and Mani wall we reach Phunge Thanka where we stop for lunch. After lunch we start climbing for 1 and ½ hour to reach Tengboche by crossing the suspension bridge. The trail is relatively tougher to ascend. As soon as you reach Tengboche, you will be greeted with surrounding mountains and the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. In the evening, we will visit the live prayers in the monastery performed by monks and have meals at the lodges.

After having breakfast at the lodge, we will descend through beautiful forests of rhododendron and cross a suspension bridge after passing through Imjan Khola. We will reach Dingboche after passing through a stretch of pastures.

Today’s trek is short. We will enjoy the view of Mt Everest during our trek to Chhukung. After lunch at Chhukung and a short rest, we can head off to Chhukung-Ri. This place offers a grand view of Lotshe, Amalapcha,Thamserku and Ama Dablam.

Today we are going to explore Chhunkung village. We will stay here to be physically and mentally prepared for the trek tomorrow. Moreover, the stay will help us adapt to the extreme altitude and environment. We will also prepare the food for the challenging trek tomorrow.

The climb is very challenging today. However, the path offers some spectacular views of the valleys and mountains. At the top of Kongma La, we can see snow-capped mountains of the Everest region. After some time, we will have reached the world’s deepest glacier. After resting for a while, we will descend to Labuche through a rocky path. After 4 long hours of trek we will reach Labuche.

Today we will be trekking to the world’s highest base camp. After breakfast, we will journey along the dudh koshi river and through the Khumbu glacier. While traveling through the glacier we can see the renowned Kalapatthar peak. After an exhausting trek we will have reached Gorak Shep. After a good meal, we will be staying at the base camp for the night.

Today our trek will take us along the bank of dudh koshi before descending down to Dzongla. The short 4 hours trek will end after we reach our final destination for the day. We will stay for the night in Dzongla.

After breakfast, you will begin the trek enjoying the captivating View of Cholatse. At first, the trek will take you steeply up on the moraines, before going uphill on the narrow paths. After a few hours of climbing, we will reach the top of Cho La. The view from Cho La is simply magnificent. We will start our descent to the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier of nepal, after having a short rest and a photography session. Going further down the path we will reach Thangnak and after another 2\3 hours of trek we will set foot on Gokyo. We will stay in Gokyo for the night.

We will take a rest day at Gokyo. We can have a short trek journey to Gokyo Ri. Gokyo Ri is also another view point of our journey which offers the view of the Everest region.

Today we will endure the last longest trek of our whole journey. We will be trekking for 8-9 hours from Gokyo to Renjo La before descending to Marlung. We will begin our trek right after breakfast. After a 4 hours of trek, we will reach the top of Renjo La. After resting for a while and enjoying the marvel of Everest region, we will trek downhill through narrow paths to Lumde. After a short shopping for the night, we will take a short hike to reach Marlung where we will be staying the night.

We will finally be heading back to Namche Bazaar as our long and tiring journey will be coming to an end in a few days. Our descent will take us through the valley of Same Thame before we reach our lodge at Namche.

After having breakfast, we will continue through Sagarmatha National Park and reach Phakding. We will continue along the Dudhkoshi river trail to reach Lukla

After a short roam around Lukla we will be taking a morning flight to the capital. The flight will obviously consist of the majestic view of Everest which you will be seeing for the last time from such a close distance.

After your stay at the hotel, you will be driven back to the International Airport for your flight.
