Best time for the trek:
The best time for the trek is from April to May. Even though mid-June is conceivably the ideal time for Mount Everest, not only is the peak often visible and clear. For mountaineers, the climbing window between April and May is also one of the perfect times to aim for a climb to the summit.

Itinerary

Our staff will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Our team will brief you about the journey and prepare you for the expedition. You can loosen up and stay the night at the hotel.

An expert local guide will provide a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu valley. You will visit various world heritage sites in Kathmandu, including Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and different Durbar Squares of the Kathmandu Valley. These monuments and landmarks are of great cultural and historical significance. You will get a first-hand experience of the culture, architecture, and culinary arts of the local Newar community. You will return to your hotel in the evening.

We will organize a team meeting where you will meet fellow climbers and team leaders. Expert veteran climbers will brief you about the nature of the expedition, equipment, and team composition. You can purchase any personal items that you might need during your stay in the Himalayas. Experts will check the stuff you have brought along to see if it is feasible and in good working condition or not. If the equipment doesn’t match the standard, you might have to replace them with new ones.

An official briefing will be organized with the government officials in the Ministry of Tourism. There you will get briefed about the official guidelines and standard procedure of the Everest expedition.

We will fly to Lukla from Kathmandu on an adventurous flight. The Tenzing Hillary Airport is one of the smallest airports in the world, with just 527m of runway. The thrilling start is the perfect start to the trip. From Lukla, we will start our trek to Pkhading. The well-marked trail moves above the Dudh Kosi valley until you reach the village of Phakding.
Trekking distance: 9 km.
Time duration: 4 hrs.

The trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding starts early. The track passes through the Dudh Koshi river, and we will cross the famous Hillary suspension bridge. We can enjoy the view of Mt Thamserku (6618m) along the way. We pass through the charming villages of Jorsale and Monjo to reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. The trail moves along the alpine forests and water streams to arrive at the junction of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. We reach Namche Bazaar after crossing the ridge at the intersection of Lhotse and Nuptse. Namche is a famous trading town in the Mt.
Everest region. We spend the night in Namche in a guest house.

Time duration: 6 hrs.

We acclimatize at Namche Bazar to adapt our bodies to the high altitude. However, we don’t stay idle and keep moving. We hike to Thame, or visit Khunde, or explore Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazar is the main center of the Khumbu region and has numerous cafes, government offices, banks, etc. We trek a few hundred vertical feet to acclimatize efficiently. We can visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum or the Khunde hospital, set up by Sir Edmund Hillary. You can go on a short hike to the Syangboche Airstrip
and the Everest View Hotel. The awe-inspiring views of the entire Himalayan range, including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kusum Kangaru, will fascinate you.

After breakfast, we start our trek towards Pangboche, enjoying spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The trail moves along the rhododendron trees, overlooking the high Himalayas. We might spot some wild animals such as musk deer, Danphe pheasant, or a herd of Himalayan Thar.We finally arrive at Sansa, which is the major trail junction to Gokyo valley and Everest Base Camp. The trek then follows through pine forests till we reach Tengboche. We spent the night in Tengboche.

Time duration: 6 hrs

We started our trek from Tengboche to Pheriche early. We first encounter steep climbs as the altitude rises above 4000m. We pass through small settlements with chortens and mani walls. The trail gradually descends to Dingboche, where we cross the Imja river through a suspension bridge. We climb past mani stones to reach Pangboche. In Pangboche, we will visit the oldest gompa in the region. The trail then finally climbs to Pheriche. You will find a medical facility in Pheriche to help trekkers recover from altitude sickness.

Time duration: 5-6 hrs

We continue our trek to Everest Base Camp. We will reach Dughla, located below the Khumbu glacier. Furthermore, we can see the Dughla memorial dedicated to all the Sherpas who perished while summiting Everest. After lunch at Dughla, we continued our journey with a steep climb up the glacier moraine. After several hours, the trail leads us to a small cluster of tea houses, pleasantly located at Lobuche.

Time duration: 4-5 hrs

We start our trek early from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorak Shep and Kalapathar. After breakfast, we will trek up the rocky moraine path above the valley. We can view the frozen pond and icebergs of the Khumbu Glacier. A short downhill trek will lead you to Gorak Shep. Gorak Shep is the original location where Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set up their Camps. A gradual walk in a rocky path and an uphill climb for half an hour will bring you to Kalapathar. A panoramic view of the Himalayan range awaits you in Kalapathar. We will take a break and snap as many pictures as we can.
The view Mt Everest in a stunning closeup along with Mt Nuptse and Mt Lho-la will captivate you. The breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains is a memory that you will cherish for a lifetime. We will resume our trek after a break to Everest Base Camp. The trail passes through ice pinnacles and crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier. The Everest Base Camp will be bustling with fellow climbers from various other expedition teams. The colorful tents on a backdrop of white snow mountains are a thing of beauty. We will set up our tents and accommodate ourselves. This place is going to be our home for the next couple of months.
